When is the deadline to rsvp?

Please respond by July 15, 2025.

 

What is the dress code?

We invite you to wear summery cocktail attire.  

 

Our venue is tented, but outdoors and on grass, and, even in August, Maine can get chilly at night.  Please take these things into consideration as you plan your outfit.

Can we bring our children?

Other than a few family members invited by name, we are not having children at our wedding.  But, we don't want to miss out on celebrating with you due to a lack of childcare, so we are happy to be able to provide on-site babysitting for our out-of-town guests with children too young to stay home.  Please click here for more information.

Babes-in-arms may stay with their parents during the wedding and reception. All children are welcome at our rehearsal dinner/welcome reception at Freedom's Edge Cider on August 29.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes!

Are either of you changing your name after the wedding?

Nope!

Are you having an "unplugged" wedding?

Also no, but please be respectful of us and our photographer and don't block her shots.

What time does the ceremony start?

Our wedding ceremony will begin at 4:30.  Please arrive at Spring Point Field with enough time to find a seat.  For a full schedule of events, please see our Schedule page.

 

Do you have a room block?

While we have not reserved a block of rooms, we do have discount codes available for a number of Portland hotels - please see our Hotels page.  The shuttle bus to the wedding will pick up and drop off at the Regency, but there are many, many hotel options within a few minutes' walk.

How do I get to the wedding?

If you're staying in Portland proper, we encourage you to ride our shuttle bus, which will leave from the Regency Hotel at 3:00 and 3:30.  Return shuttles will run at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00.  If that schedule doesn't work for you, or if you're not staying on the peninsula, there is ample parking at the venue, and rideshare service is generally available.  For more travel information, please see our Transportation page.
